Employee Wellness

Create a Culture of Well-Being

With over 20 years experience providing wellness education, supporting employees has been the most rewarding. I understand the importance to company culture and employee well-being when employees are cared for and provided the agency and autonomy to enhance their well-being in and out of the workplace.

The benefits of a supported workforce are clear:

  • Increased retention;

  • Enhanced performance;

  • Lower healthcare expenses;

  • Happier, empowered, and more fulfilled employees.

Workshops Available

Well-Being: Moving Towards a Vibrant Life
Wellness has become a commodity in our culture and with all the noise, it can become unclear what exactly it means to have individual and organizational well-being. Drawing on a well-being framework, we will explore the intersections of individual and collective well-being. Participants will gain clarity on what it means for them to be well and the tools and resources they can utilize in and outside the workplace. *Option for 2-8 week well-being series that is based on the well-being course I developed and teach in higher education. â€‹

Growing a Stress Mindset for Emotional Wellness
Living a life of meaning and pursuing goals means that we will experience stress. Somewhere along the way we learned that stress is bad and it needs to be and eliminated. This mindset leads to increased emotional distress and lack of motivation to make change. Participants will understand how to recognize their individual stress responses and how their life history and how the cultures around them impact their ability to move through stressors. Participants will learn a powerful, yet accessible, four-step approach that changes how they think, approach, and move through stress. The stress mindset model can be integrated into workplace culture to change the conversation about stress from being something to fear to instead reimagining stress as something to turn towards with courage, clarity, and effort.

Boundaries & Assertive Communication

We've been sold a myth: that a little pampering equals self-care. True self-care involves much more than feeling good. Boundaries are a skill that can be learned to increase overall wellness. Participants will learn what boundaries are, identify signs that we may need them, and learn skills to assert their needs in all areas of their life.

Self-Compassion, The Antidote to Perfection

The pursuit of perfection increases stress, procrastination, fear, and decreases motivation, which can have negative impact on one's well-being in and outside the workplace. Participants will learn about the emerging science of self-compassion as a way of making radical change in their lives. Together, we will practice skills that can be used to  expanding awareness and increase motivation to work towards what is important. â€‹â€‹â€‹

My Yoga Teaching Philosophy
My yoga teaching style is grounded in accessibility and the science of mind/body integration, not performance and optimization. I believe in honoring the historical foundation of yoga being a practice of individual AND collective liberation. That may mean that sometimes we don't leave our mat feeling soothed, but rather we leave our mat feeling motivated to take action.

My goals as a yoga teacher are that students experience...

  • New ways to move their body for strength, mobility, stability, and flexibility;

  • Increased body awareness;

  • Increased body appreciation;

  • Strengths of curiosity, courage, and persistence;

  • Feelings of calm and joy;

  • Insight into ways they can care for themselves off of the mat;

  • Motivation to care for others who don't have access to the practices of yoga and meditation. â€‹

"Dawn was the best instructor I have ever had!

I have taken many yoga classes and courses and the way she approached the class was extremely welcoming and comfortable."

“As a Division1athlete, Dawn has helped me reach a new level connecting with my body and mind. Her practices allow athletes to dig deeper into their bodies and become in touch with small muscles and areas that may be injured or not firing correctly. Dawn has helped me immensely elevate not only my physical game but also my mental focus and strength. I can’t thank Dawn enough for everything she has done for me.”
